What kind of batteries should I use with my SeaLife® underwater camera?

SeaLife® film and digital underwater cameras are powered by two AA batteries, we recommend using SeaLife® Ni-MH AA batteries (2100mAh or higher) or any long-lasting AA battery for the digital camera.

Every once in a while, the image is in a confused mosaic pattern. How can I correct this problem?

If you come across a corrupt image we recommend you save all of the images on your card then;
Format camera without SD card
Format camera with the SD card
Format camera one more time without the SD card
We then recommend you take 15-20 test shots to make sure camera is back in working order.

How can I determine what firmware I have? |
| A. |
Easy. Take a picture and open it in a word document program, like Microsoft Word. You will see some scrambled text, but carefully look for the statement "F/W Version: ____". That is the firmware version your camera is using. **link to firmware page** |

Can I order spare parts (ie: O-rings, battery doors, etc.)? |

What kind of memory card should I use? |

SeaLife® Cameras strongly advise using SanDisk, Panasonic or Toshiba brand SD memory cards. Any megabyte size from these brands is acceptable. |

Can the drivers be found online? |

You should not need to install a driver on Windows XP or ME. Contact SeaLife® Customer service for drivers if you are working off an old Windows OS. |

What kind of film should I use in my SeaLife® underwater film camera? |

Use a regular 35mm film, SeaLife® recommends ISO 100-200 for the best quality underwater photos. |

Can I use a higher exposure than 24 in my SeaLife® underwater film camera? |

SeaLife® Cameras can use film with up to 36 exposures. |

Can my digital camera be used in my SeaLife® film camera housing? |

SeaLife® digital cameras cannot be placed in a film camera housing! |

Can my older SeaLife® digital camera be used in a DC300/310 housing? |

SeaLife's Digital Camera Housings are made specifically for each generation of camera. Both DC100 and DC200 are cross compatible with each other and similarly the DC250, DC300 and DC310 are compatible. |

Are the cameras easy to use? |
| A. |
To use the SeaLife® cameras, simply: 1) insert film and batteries, 2) turn the inner camera on, 3) place inside the housing and 4) point and shoot! |

How tough are the Reefmaster cameras? |
| A. |
The camera's housing is made of super-strong Lexan(r) (ReefMaster models only) covered by a thick rubber armoring (RC models only). This housing makes the system watertight and able to withstand a bumpy ride on your dive boat. |

Will the camera float if I drop it underwater? |
| A. |
The camera is slightly buoyant and will float in salt water. |
